My cuddly bed & new decorations! |
Last night I slept so well that I awoke, cuddled up in my fluffy
blankets, completely grinning. Bringing my mattress topper was so worth
waking up cozy and smiling every morning! I took a few photos of my room so you can see why I'm so happy.

I planned to
meet up with some girls to go shopping, even though I had nothing in
mind to buy. But, do I need an excuse? ;) Natalia came up beforehand and
we worked on figuring out our classes, then we met up with Kayla,
Alexa, and Katie at Plaza Santo Domingo. I think it is becoming our
classic meeting spot.

Dusktime in Murcia :) |
While a few of us were chatting,
this random girl ran up to us and asked if we were foreign exchange
students. When we said that yes, we were, she got so excited and told us
she loved Americans and Canadians! I don't know if I have ever heard
that before? Haha. She didn't have any friends yet since she had just
landed from Argentina two days ago. So, she decided to come shopping
with us. Natalia and Kayla split off so that Kayla could check her email to see if her living situation had gotten resolved.

This guy is not as happy as me. |
Nadia, the Argentinian girl. led us to Zara, a not-
too-expensive store with super cute clothes! I decided on a pair of sequined, black booty shorts for wearing on nights out. Hey, they were on sale!
Eventually we made it to Cafe del Museo where I ordered a Sandwich Mixto, a surprisingly delicious grilled ham and cheese sandwich with some little fry-chips (chips that look like fries--Mom you would love these!). We hung out for a little bit, found a few cheap shoe shops, then headed back to our respective apartments.
I sat in my room for a few minutes, not knowing what to do because my roommates are locked up in their rooms studying for their finals. That's when I remembered the grocery store! I had to follow some girls carrying reusable grocery bags in order to find the Mercadona, but it's actually super close. I had way too much fun exploring the supermercado! I bought strawberries, apples, pasta cheese, alphabet pasta, rolls, a chocolate postre, milk (56 cents!), fruit-juiceboxes, a bottle of fruit juice, a bottle of delicious blush wine (only 1,32--holy crap!), microwave bolognesa pasta, cream cheese, nail polish remover, cotton balls, and lotion for 21 euros total.

WTF trees??? |

This is how happy! |
If I didn't emphasize it enough, I freaking love the grocery store. I think it's because three of my top favorite things coincided in one place (food, Spanish, and travel). Wow, I'm happy.
