I spent the whole morning and afternoon typing up my handwritten notes for class, watching and rewatching a Napoleón documentary for class, and taking more notes. At least I can feel like I'm not falling behind.

A few minutes before my 8 o'clock class, the doorbell rang. I wasn't expecting any visitors, so I was very hesitant to go to the door. I looked through the peephole and it was my landlady. She apparently came over just to see how I was doing and to ask if I needed anything. Then she reassured me that if I ever needed anything I could come and ask her for help. It was such a nice thing to do! She definitely didn't need to come over and check on me, but I really appreciated it.
I asked her if we had any new roommates coming in and she said that she hadn't heard anything but that she would email the university tomorrow. I think she feels bad that I am alone (plus, she probably wants the extra income).

For our practica class today, we had to join into groups to discuss what we had written about the Napoleón documentary. Natalia and I looked at eachother and laughed, acknowledging the fact that we have no friends/Spaniards in class. We turned around and the three people behind us motioned for us to join their group. They were very helpful and friendly after I said in Spanish "We're from the US, if it's not obvious". We all laughed. One girl gave me some notes to copy over. Another lone American that we hadn't met yet came and joined us. I'm glad I finally met some nice folks in the geografía school!

Afterwards, Natalia and I stopped at La Tapita del Oro, a little cafe/restaurant owned by an Ecuadorian couple that we had already met and chatted previously. I got two tasty croquetas for a euro. Then, we went over to Kayla's to plan our trip to Sevilla /Córdoba for the last weekend in February. We booked the two hostels (one night each) and are looking at spending $150 for everything except for food. I'm excited!
