Today was the first day of Turismo Sostenible y el Medio Ambiente (Sustainable Tourism & the Environment). Once again, I took the beautiful camino to the tourism campus down by the river. In class, a Murciana came up to me and introduced herself to me because she could see that I was sitting by myself not talking to anyone. Marie was very helpful; she *tried* to explain to me the schedule and classes and stuff.
When she asked me if I knew Mariano, I was totally confused. She explained that we were going to visit him after class...I asked if he was her friend and where he lived. She told me that she lived half an hour away (an hour by bus, due to all of the stops), but Mariano lived right next door to the campus.
When I followed her, she took me to this little shack near the parking lot decorated with a plethora of photos (of fish or of Mariano on boats with the fish that he had caught), car keys on hooks, and lots of books and papers on shelves. I was so tempted to casually ask, "So, you like fish?" haha. He was a nice guy, early 60s I would guess, who made photocopies of textbooks and old tests and sold them to students. "Is this legal?" I wondered.

Love locks on the bridge! |
It turned out that he didn't have anything for my two tourism classes. I thanked Marie and told her I would see her in class again on Wednesday.
Then, I did a little more exploring by the river. I crossed Puente Viejo and looked at all the shops on the other side of the river. I bought a sweaterdress for 12 euros--I have been wanting one forever!

On the way home, I stopped at the super-cute bakery that I saw last time I took this walk. I bought some rolls (they look like shiny potato rolls) to make sandwiches; 3 rolls for ,90 euros. They ended up being super delicious! I made a sandwich paired with an apple, fruit juice, some chips and cookies for lunch.

One wall in Moreno, the cute cafe |

Ah, what I would give for one of the beautiful fridges... |
I worked on typing up some of my class notes and organizing some papers for school. Later on, I met up with Natalia and Jenn to go to Moreno, the super cute bakery/cafe that I bought my rolls from earlier. We got chocolate caliente con bollo (hot chocolate with a sugar-coated bun) for 1,80..the best price I have seen! We decided not to bring our laptops even though we knew it was a free-wifi zone. It was definitely nice to chill and relax like the Spaniards do so well.
Hi, I am glad you are having fun. I like those fridges too. It looks like you are having fun and learning. Have more fun, love you!
